Here at Unseen Beauty we love the Toy Camera. The way you never really know what you are going to get, the organic nature of each shot, the part where less thinking about the shot and shots tends to work better. The good people at TOYCAMERA.COM have brought us a little handbook that goes through tips techniques and mods. A great addition to your toy collection. Check it out and add one to your coffee table.

Blu with the help of David Ellis is at it again. COMBO! a new video / collab done for Fame Festival is some amazing work and time (a full week to be exact) put in by these two artists. Being able to watch art happen is so intriguing to me... this video will be looped many of times in the office.
a BIG thank you to Blu and David and the crew that helped put this together!

We are saying sorry because we are having some server problems and are not able to upload images... go figure a website that is all about seeing things different, can't upload images. Don't fear though we have people working on it as we type. So just image an image of some raggidy room filled with old magazines and what not that was shot at the right angle with the right eye and we promise to deliver one as soon as IT lets us.
In the mean time we have some news for you. We just got just word that Matt Jenkins... good friend / artist / car enthusiast has entered the Targa Trophy and he is going to be supporting Unseen Beauty on the sides of his stealth machine this weekend. We made Matt promise to send us some snapshots of the race and he agreed. So we will be updating you guys as soon as we get them.
Since we can't show you any thing here at the moment we figured that we would at least point you in the right direction... Here are some videos that we hope quench your visual thirst for a bit.

And you thought Polaroids where dead... A great show is coming to Los Angeles this January. Instant Gratification is coming to Santa Monica at the Corpo Gallery Jan. 9th and you can count on it that Unseen Beauty will be there. We are a fan of the good 'ole Polaroid and still have a couple packs of film sitting in our office, just waiting for that perfect polaroid moment. The nice thing about polaroids are that any moment looks better by looking worse with these primitive yet amazing machines...
True art.
ISM is still looking for more submissions, so hit them up and hopefully you can get your moments up on the wall. submit submissions here

A couple weeks ago a few of us headed down to Riverside to check out the Sea No Evil art show. The show is to support and raise money for the Sea Shepherd organization... Most people will know this name from a great show called "Whale Wars" on animal planet, one of my favs.
Many great artists donated work for this silent auction, some of the artists that showed:
Dave Kinsey
Shepard Fairey
Lola
Tim Biskup
Madsteez
Jeff Soto
and many more...
I took a couple snap shots of the amazing show. enjoy

So I was chatting with some buddies a while back and as we are talking he was snapping pictures with his iPhone, I asked what he was doing and he told me about "photoswap" I was hooked from that moment. All you have to do is snap a picture and hit a button and then 5 seconds later you get a random picture from all over the world... and I mean RANDOM. Here are some screen shots
from my phone to see what I am talking about.

Stayed at this little hidden spot in Indio, CA called Palm Shadow last week. As you step into the room and out the back door you notice an old retro pool where all the back sliding doors lead out to... Pretty amazing spot.

Took what seems to be like my weekly drive down to the "Great Peachy Building of Goodness" called American Apparel today. What I thought was just going to be the normal pickup of blanks turned into a good conversation with Jared, the guy who helped me out once before... real nice fellow. He asked about the company and how things where going, we chatted a bit then grabbed my order and scooted off. I got the the car and saw some of the freshly printed flyers we just had made and grabbed a couple business cards and ran back over to Jared, tossed him a couple and said let me know if you need anything. Always a good day when you meet a good person. Thanks Jared.
